Washing Machine Door Lock Sutaible for IFB Front Load Old Model (Match and Buy) Washing Machine Door Switch (1 Year Warranty)

The interlock is a safety part: the machine will not run without it, and it keeps the door shut while the drum is turning. A common and fairly quick replacement.

1. Switch off and unplug the machine. Do not work on an interlock with the plug in.
2. Open the door and release the boot seal clamp at the front — usually a spring band lifted off with a small screwdriver. Note where the spring sits so it goes back the same way.
3. Fold the boot seal back to expose the interlock behind the front panel.
4. Photograph the connector before unplugging. Interlock connectors carry mains and the terminals are not interchangeable.
5. Undo the two screws holding the lock and withdraw it through the opening.
6. Fit the new lock, making sure the door latch lines up with the catch before tightening — a lock fitted slightly out of line will not close reliably.
7. Reconnect, refit the boot seal and clamp with the spring seated in its groove all the way round, or it will leak.
8. Test the door catches and releases before running a full cycle.

If the machine still reports a door fault, check the door hinge alignment — a dropped door stops the catch engaging fully and looks exactly like a failed lock.
