Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Technovate collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to enquiries you send us by form, email or WhatsApp.

What we collect

• Enquiry and order details — name, phone number, email address, delivery address, appliance brand and model number, and the contents of your message.
• Account details — if you create an account, your name, email and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
• Order and payment records — items purchased, amounts, and payment status. Card and UPI details are handled by Razorpay and never reach our servers.
• Usage data — pages viewed, search terms entered, and cookie preferences.

Why we collect it

• To identify the correct spare part for your appliance and answer your enquiry.
• To process, deliver and invoice your order, including GST-compliant tax invoices.
• To send order, payment and delivery updates by email and WhatsApp.
• To send marketing emails only where you have opted in, and confirmed that opt-in by email.
• To understand which parts customers search for that we do not yet stock.

Legal bases (GDPR)

We process your data to perform a contract (orders), on the basis of your consent (marketing emails, non-essential cookies), and for our legitimate interests in running and improving the business (fraud prevention, service analytics). Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary, with: our payment gateway (Razorpay), our delivery partner for shipping and tracking, our email and WhatsApp messaging providers, and our hosting provider. We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are retained for eight years as required by Indian tax law. Marketing contacts are retained until you unsubscribe. Enquiries that do not result in an order are retained for three years.

Your rights

You may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, or a portable copy. Under CCPA, California residents may additionally request disclosure of the categories of data collected and may opt out of any sale of personal information — we do not sell personal information. Cookies

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS, passwords are hashed with bcrypt, and administrative access is restricted by role. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
