Washing Machine Drain Motor Suitable for Haier Washing Machine (2 Pin) (Match and Buy)

A heavy part in a tight space, and mains-wired. Allow a couple of hours, or use a technician.

1. Switch off, unplug, and close the water tap.
2. Remove the rear panel to reach the motor and belt.
3. Photograph the wiring loom at the motor and the belt routing before anything comes off. Connectors are often similar and the loom only reaches one way.
4. Slip the belt off by turning the drum pulley while easing the belt sideways.
5. Support the motor before the last bolt comes out — they are heavier than they look and will fall onto the tub.
6. Compare old and new side by side before fitting: shaft length, pulley size, mounting centres and connector type must all match.
7. Fit the new motor, reconnect as photographed, and refit the belt so it sits centrally on both pulleys.
8. Turn the drum by hand a full revolution to check the belt tracks and nothing fouls.
9. Test on a short cycle with the panel on before returning it to use.

If the machine fills but will not turn, check the belt and the door interlock before suspecting the new motor — both are more common causes.
