Technovate AC Remote Compitable With VOLTAS AC

No tools and no wiring — a replacement remote works as soon as it has batteries. Most of our remotes are already matched to the brand, so there is usually nothing to pair.

1. Fit the batteries. Slide the cover off the back and fit two new AAA cells the way the diagram in the tray shows. Use a matched pair of new batteries — a part-used cell is the single most common reason a new remote seems dead on arrival.
2. Point and test. Stand within about 5 metres, point at the display window on the indoor unit and press power. The unit should beep.
3. If nothing happens, set the brand code. A universal remote has to be told which make it is driving. Hold the code or set button until the display flashes, step through the codes until the AC beeps, then press to confirm. The code list is on the leaflet in the box.
4. Set the mode before you judge it. An AC left in Fan or Dry will not cool whatever the remote says. Choose Cool, then a temperature a few degrees below the room.
5. Tell the remote from the AC. If the remote's own screen is blank it is the batteries or the remote. If the screen works but the AC ignores it, the problem is the pairing or the indoor unit's receiver.

A 10-second test: phone cameras can see infrared. Point the remote at your phone's camera and press a button — you should see the LED flash on screen. That tells you straight away whether the remote is transmitting.
