Split AC Swing Motor Suitable for O General Air Conditioner (Match And Buy) – 1 Year Warranty

A straightforward job on most split units, but it is mains-powered — isolate it first. Allow about half an hour.

1. Switch off at the MCB, not just the remote. The indoor unit stays live at the terminal block even when it looks off.
2. Open the front panel. Lift the flap, release the clips at each side and lower the cover. Some models have screws hidden under small plastic caps along the bottom edge.
3. Photograph the connector and the louver position before anything comes apart. The louver arm only goes back one way round, and the photo is what tells you which.
4. Unclip the louver linkage, then undo the two or three screws holding the motor bracket. Unplug the connector from the control board — squeeze the latch, do not pull on the wires.
5. Fit the new motor. Line the output shaft up with the louver arm before you tighten anything; forcing the arm on at an angle is what strips the splines.
6. Reconnect, then test before reassembly. Restore power and run a swing cycle with the cover still off, so you are not undoing the job twice. The louver should sweep smoothly to both limits without clicking or stalling.

Keep the packaging and your invoice until the part is fitted and tested — warranty claims need the order number.
